A Georgia nonprofit
Every pet deserves another chapter.
When the cost of veterinary care becomes a barrier, we're working to help Georgia families and rescues give their pets the care they deserve—and the chance for another chapter.
A little help can change the whole story.

How a grant works
From a vet bill to a chance at care
Once our grant program opens, here's how it will work. We won't take in animals; we'll pay for their care.
1. Apply
Family or rescue
Will apply with the vet's written estimate.
2. Review
Open Chapter
Will confirm the plan and cost with the vet.
3. Pay
Veterinary clinic
Will be paid directly by us.
Our promise
Compassion with accountability
Paid to the vet
Grants will go to clinics, never to individuals.
Necessary care
We'll fund treatment a vet recommends.
Run lean
Built so more of every gift can reach animals.
Every grant tracked
We'll report outcomes every year.
Our beginnings
Our story is just beginning
Open Chapter Foundation was founded in 2026 by Nachi Gadre and Samruddhi Talewar as they began their marriage, from a shared commitment to giving back.
In 2015, Nachi adopted Bruce in Atlanta and supported him through two ACL surgeries. That experience is why our first focus is access to necessary veterinary care in Georgia.
Instead of traditional wedding gifts, Nachi and Samruddhi invited charitable contributions to help seed a foundation dedicated to second chances, opportunity, and removing barriers.
What began as the celebration of our own new chapter became an opportunity to help create new chapters for others.
